Kim Willard, Artistic Director

Kim Willard is the Artistic Director of the Mountain Movers Theatre Company and an integral part of the ARC Creative initiative. She has been a music and theatre educator
for over 30 years. Before coming to Louisa, Kim created the highly successful educational program Footlights Youth Theatre for the former Jenny Wiley Theatre in Pikeville, Kentucky. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York City.  Kim’s passion for the arts has led her to teaching and performing adventures in nearly every medium and age range. Notable among her many accomplishments is a Grammy Award she earned in 2007 for the outstanding chorus and drama curriculum she developed at a high school in rural South Carolina.  Kim is a fierce believer in the power of sharing stories. The favorite parts of her personal story include her husband Darryl, her three daughters, her two granddaughters, her two dogs, and her cat.

Darryl Willard, Managing Director

Darryl is proud to call Eastern Kentucky home after working in CT, NH, MA, VA and SC for construction and theatre companies. He has a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies (Music & Theatre) from Plymouth State University and Masters Certificate in Production Management from Clemson University. He is the former Managing Director and Technical Director at Jenny Wiley Theatre. Mountain Movers Theatre Company is proud to have him as Production Manager.


Madi Daniels, Stage Manager

Madi is from Australia and has been living in Eastern Kentucky since 2017. She graduated with a BA in Communication and a minor in Theatre from the University of Pikeville in Pikeville, KY in 2020. Madi discovered her love for theatre in high school and continued along that path in college. She was the Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager for the University of Pikeville for two years and she has also worked in other areas of theatre including costuming, lighting, sound, props, and acting. She is excited to be working for Mountain Movers Theatre Company.

Jesse Plourde, Production Technician

Hailing out of Lawrence, Massachusetts, Jesse Plourde is proud to be in Louisa, Kentucky. Jesse is an accomplished actor and scholar as he has achieved a BS in Social Work, while also completing a minor in Theater from the University of Pikeville. He also works independently as a content creator and streamer on the popular streaming platform, Twitch. Jesse is a singer/songwriter as well as a professional actor, among other accolades. He is always enthusiastic to be a part of the amazing productions created by Mountain Movers Theatre Company. 

Stef Ratliff, Set Designer

Stef, also known as KYARTRAT, is a professional set painter/designer, award winning ceramic artist, painter, annual trophy artist for the Americana Music Association Honors & Awards, and a coal miner's daughter from Pike County, KY. You can find her work currently on display in galleries across the US.
